OR Nurse

OR Nurse Opportunity in North Carolina

We are hiring a full-time OR Nurse in North Carolina to provide perioperative patient care and support surgical procedures; active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and CNOR certification required.

The OR Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality perioperative care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, efficient, and sterile environment while collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans throughout the perioperative process.
• Monitor patient vitals, comfort, and safety during procedures.
• Serve as circulating nurse or scrub nurse, depending on assignment.
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control protocols.
• Assist in positioning patients, handling specimens, and maintaining accurate surgical counts.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and support staff to ensure seamless workflow.
• Provide post-operative care and patient education as needed.
• Uphold the mission and values by delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of North Carolina (or compact state eligibility).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of OR nursing experience preferred (new grads with strong interest in surgery will be considered).
• CNOR certification.
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced surgical environment.
