Exciting Opportunity for Medical Technologists! Job Description:
- Are you a passionate Medical Technologist looking to make a meaningful impact?
- Join us for a thrilling 13-week travel assignment with a day shift from 6a to 6:30p! Key Responsibilities:
- Perform moderate and high complexity laboratory tests accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure timely reporting of results with appropriate documentation.
- Utilize your expertise in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Serology, and Blood Bank.
- Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in diagnosis and monitoring of various disease states.
- Follow standardized procedures and prepare samples for testing.
- Analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with laboratory instruments.
- Maintain accurate records using laboratory information systems. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP, AMT, or AAB) is required.
- 2+ years of experience in an acute care setting preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, quality control protocols, and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare staff.
- Familiarity with population-specific competencies for all patient demographics. Additional Information:
- No call required; floating among units is expected.
- Scrubs: Any color.
