Manager, Annual Appeal Location: Cleveland, Ohio Job Details Job ID: 5747039 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: May 29, 2026 4:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: To Be Determined Position Type: Full-Time Salary: $55,000 to $67,500 Per Year Job Description Friends of Breakthrough Schools (FOB) is a non‑profit organization dedicated to fundraising, alumni support, and advocacy for Breakthrough Public Schools scholars, schools, and the community. The Manager of Annual Appeal will oversee, manage, and grow the Annual Appeal program. This role supports the organization’s annual appeal revenue goal, donor engagement, and stewardship as outlined in the Annual Appeal Plan approved by the President and Chief Development Officer. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement the FOB Annual Appeal plan to meet or exceed yearly goals. Plan and execute multi‑channel fundraising campaigns—including direct mail, email, and social media—to acquire, retain, and steward donors. Oversee cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of key annual appeal constituents through direct mail, special events, and related activities. Analyze annual giving trends within Breakthrough and the broader nonprofit landscape. Develop strategies for donor acquisition and retention to increase the base of annual support. Produce annual appeal analysis reports for FOB leadership, Board of Directors, and committees. Maintain the integrity and functionality of the Raiser’s Edge (RE) donor database, providing data pulls and analysis as requested. Support FOB social media activity and web presence. Ensure accurate recording and acknowledgment of annual gifts. Provide operational support for all fundraising events. Facilitate the advancement of fundraising goals with the FOB team. Perform other duties related to the Annual Appeal as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of three years professional fundraising experience focused on individual giving, direct mail, email, and social media campaigns. Experience recruiting and maintaining relationships with donors and volunteers. Experience with large‑scale fundraising events. Project management skills to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously. Strategic and analytical thinking skills for marketing annual giving programs. Proficiency with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT, Google Suite, Microsoft Office. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem‑solving, management, collaboration, and follow‑through skills across departments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and list management tools. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $55,000 – $67,500 per year (based on experience).
