Certified Medical Assistant

Overview Shriners Children’s Ohio has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Assistant to join our Outpatient Clinic team ! In this role, you’ll support our medical and nursing staff in providing compassionate, family‑centered care to infants, toddlers, preschoolers, adolescents, and young adults. You’ll play a key part in the patient intake process — collecting vital information such as medical history, height and weight, vital signs, allergies, medications, and previous procedures — helping our team deliver the best possible care to every child. Responsibilities The Medical Assistant assists in rooming patients, taking vital signs, measurements, preparation of exam rooms, stocking supplies, assisting the physician, interacting with other departments and documentation in the electronic medical record. Assists providers, nursing and other health care professionals with procedures and the intake and departure processes. Accurately documents information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Responsible for prepping clinic to be prepared for that day's clinic to include monitoring supplies and equipment and ordering supplies. Utilizes good clinical judgement to identify problems and interventions with patients and families and referral to RN as needed. This is not an all‑inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Qualifications Required: High School Diploma / GED Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred: Two years' pediatric care experience Two years' experience as a Medical Assistant #J-18808-Ljbffr
