RN Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Travel / Contract - Night

Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an ICU RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Bennington, Vermont. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive critical care to patients in the ICU. Assess and monitor critically ill patients. Operate and manage advanced life‑support equipment. Administer complex medications and treatments following approved critical‑care nursing techniques. Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines, central venous pressure, and pulmonary artery catheters. Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record in a timely manner. Provide education to patients and families regarding the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations. Communicate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care. Maintain proficiency in critical‑care procedures and technologies through ongoing education and training. Adhere to strict infection‑control protocols and hospital safety procedures. Engage in quality‑improvement initiatives to enhance ICU patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Qualifications One year of recent experience as an ICU RN. Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification. Excellent communication skills and advanced clinical judgment. Comprehensive knowledge of ICU protocols and infection control. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Physical Requirements Must be able to remain stationary, move about, and move equipment weighing 50–100 lbs; push, pull, and bend as necessary. Technical/Motor Skills Ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements Must cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
