Senior QA EngineerLocation - NYC Mode - HybridKey ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end QA efforts across multiple projects and Agile teamsDefine and implement QA strategies, standards, and best practicesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworksOversee functional, regression, integration, system, API, and performance testing activitiesCollaborate with developers, architects, business analysts, and product owners to ensure testability and quality throughout developmentReview requirements and technical designs to identify risks, gaps, and test coverage needsDrive automation initiatives for applications developed in:C#/.NETPythonJavaNode.js/TypeScriptLead defect management, root cause analysis, and release readiness activitiesIntegrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflowsMonitor test execution metrics and provide reporting on quality trends and release statusMentor and guide QA engineers on automation, testing methodologies, and quality standardsSupport continuous improvement initiatives across QA processes and toolingRequired Qualifications8+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation3+ years of experience leading QA teams or QA initiativesStrong hands-on experience with automation frameworks and testing toolsExperience testing enterprise applications built with C#/.NET, Python, Java, or Node.js/TypeScriptStrong experience with API testing and backend validationExperience implementing automated testing within CI/CD environmentsStrong understanding of Agile, Scrum, SDLC, and QA methodologiesExperience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRailStrong SQL and database testing experienceExcellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with cloud environments such as Azure or Google CloudExperience with containerized applications using Docker and KubernetesFamiliarity with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or k6Experience leading QA efforts for large-scale enterprise or customer-facing systemsISTQB or related QA certifications preferredTechnical SkillsLanguages/Platforms: C#/.NET, Python, Java, Node.js, TypeScriptAutomation Tools: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, AppiumAPI Testing: Postman, REST Assured, Swagger/OpenAPICI/CD Tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CDDatabases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQLVersion Control: GitEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferredNice to HaveExperience building QA automation frameworks from the ground upExperience working in utility, energy, or regulated industriesExposure to microservices and distributed system testingFamiliarity with accessibility, security, and performance testing practices
