About Job Multiplier is moving its US benefits offering up the value ladder — from a referral/pass-through model to licensed co-broker and eventually broker of record — while launching a native benefits administration platform for US Global Payroll and EOR clients. We need a licensed US benefits practitioner who has sat on the broker or carrier side, can own plan procurement, quoting, placement and renewals, and can stand in front of a US client or carrier as Multiplier's benefits authority. Skills & Qualification Active US Life, Accident & Health insurance producer licence (resident state licence, in good standing, verifiable via NIPR/NAIC). Non-resident licences in additional states, or willingness to obtain them within 60 days, required. 7+ years in US employee benefits in a broker, consultant, carrier or benefits-administration capacity (not HR-generalist benefits admin only). Direct working experience with top-tier US brokerages — as an employee of, or as a counterpart to, firms such as Marsh McLennan / Mercer, HUB International, Gallagher, Aon, WTW, Alliant, NFP, USI, Brown & Brown, OneDigital . Must be able to name accounts, deal sizes and the nature of the relationship. Hands‑on placement and management experience with top US health carriers — e.g. UnitedHealthcare, Aetna/CVS, Cigna, Elevance/Anthem BCBS, Kaiser Permanente, Humana , plus ancillary carriers (Guardian, MetLife, Principal, Unum, Sun Life, Lincoln). Demonstrated ownership of HSA, FSA, HRA, COBRA and commuter/transit benefits — design, vendor management and payroll integration (e.g. HealthEquity, WEX, Alight, Optum Financial, TASC, Edenred/Commuter Benefit Solutions). Full renewal cycle ownership — marketing a census, negotiating rates, and running open enrolment for multi-state US populations. US compliance fluency — ACA reporting, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125 and state-specific mandates. Experience at or selling into a PEO / EOR / Global Payroll provider, and familiarity with benefits for small, distributed multi-state employer groups. Experience standing up a new brokerage entity or BoR model (appointments, commission agreements, E&O, carrier onboarding). Canada benefits exposure (Manulife / Canada Life / Sun Life) for full NAMER coverage. Comfort with data: census files, reconciliation, PEPM/commission modelling in spreadsheets. Certifications: CEBS, GBA, PHR/SHRM-CP, RHU. Responsibilities Licensing & placement: act as Multiplier's licensed producer/co-broker of record for US business; support entity licensing, appointments and non-resident licensing across NAMER states. Plan design & procurement: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, STD/LTD, voluntary; build and defend plan architecture for EOR and Global Payroll populations. Carrier & broker management: own relationships and quoting cycles with national carriers and broker partners; negotiate rates, commission schedules and renewal terms. Ancillary/pre‑tax programmes: HSA, FSA (health/dependent care), HRA, COBRA and commuter/transit benefits — vendor selection, plan documents, funding and payroll mechanics. Renewals: own the US renewal calendar end to end — census, marketing, rate negotiation, employee comms, open enrolment. Platform: partner with Product/Engineering on the benefits admin build (census exchange, quoting workflow, carrier connections, enrolment, billing); serve as the US compliance and domain SME. Compliance: ACA (1094/1095, ALE, affordability), ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, 5500 filings, state mandates. Commercial: support Sales and Partnerships in client conversations, pricing (PEPM + commission), and RFP/RFI responses.
