Apprentice Or Journeyman ElectricianExpress Employment Professionals has partnered with a large, well-established industrial facility in Rockdale, TX to find an Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician for a long-term night shift position. This is a non-traveling, on-site role ideal for skilled electricians seeking stability, competitive pay, and consistent scheduling in an industrial environment.Schedule:7 nights on / 7 nights off12-hour night shifts (Wednesday–Tuesday rotation)Average 36–50 hours per week, with overtime opportunitiesPay Rate: $30.00 – $37.00 per hour, depending on experienceWhat You'll DoInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systemsWork with lighting systems, motor controls, control panels, and PLC systemsPerform electrical testing using voltmeters, ammeters, thermal scanners, and other diagnostic toolsInspect transformers, circuit breakers, wiring, and conduit installationsPerform high-voltage terminations and system repairsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and service manualsEnsure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulationsConduct preventive maintenance and safety inspectionsDirect and assist other electrical workers as neededMaintain tools, equipment, and accurate work documentationFollow all safety procedures and site policiesPhysical & Technical RequirementsAbility to work on elevated surfaces (ladders and scaffolding)Lift and move heavy objectsDistinguish wire colorsUse hand and power tools effectivelyStrong troubleshooting and communication skillsAbility to work independently on night shiftRequirementsJourneyman-level electrical experience requiredMinimum of 7 years of professional electrical experienceIndustrial or manufacturing environment experience preferredPLC (Programmable Logic Control) experience strongly preferredElectrical license preferredAssociate degree in an applicable field considered
