About This Role

The Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Teacher in creating a nurturing and secure environment for the children, enabling them to thrive and develop their full potential. They assist in implementing engaging activities and maintaining a well-organized classroom, fostering positive relationships with the children, their parents, and the staff. In this dynamic team environment, the Teacher Assistant is responsible for observing and documenting the children's progress, interests, and needs, and communicating effectively with staff and parents to ensure seamless collaboration and quality education.

• Collaborate with the Teacher to design and execute activities that promote children's participation and engagement.
• Take charge of classroom maintenance, ensuring cleanliness, availability, and organization of materials, and manage activities to promote a smooth and efficient daily routine.
• Help facilitate a smooth transition for children from home to child care center, and ensure a warm welcome to the classroom.
• Adhere to all center policies and state regulations at all times.
• Develop and maintain a personal professional development plan to continuously improve teaching practices and enhance the quality of care and education.

• Ability to work well with others.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• High energy.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• An understanding of child development.
