Responsibilities As a Houseperson / Public Space Attendant , you will: Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, stairways, and other guest-facing areas. Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors using appropriate equipment and cleaning products. Clean carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture using vacuums and carpet-cleaning equipment. Dust, clean, and polish furniture, fixtures, metalwork, and other surfaces. Clean walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and other assigned areas as needed. Maintain cleanliness of poolside areas and other hotel service areas. Collect and properly dispose of trash and soiled linen throughout the property. Walk assigned floors at the beginning and end of each shift to collect newspapers, newspaper bags, trash, and soiled linen. Collect soiled linen from room attendants and deliver it to the appropriate location. Pick up clean linen and maintain appropriate linen par levels in floor pantries and housekeeping closets. Maintain and organize housekeeping carts and service areas. Stock room attendant closets and assist with linen organization. Deliver towels, cribs, cots, amenities, and other requested items to guest rooms. Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and questions. Ability to work independently and as part of a TEAM. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
