EHS Intern

HIROTEC AMERICA Inc

Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and company standards. • Support safety awareness initiatives for employees, customers, and vendors at HIROTEC America facilities. • Help coordinate and participate in safety training sessions; assist with tracking and maintaining training records. • Promote a positive safety culture by engaging with employees and encouraging open communication regarding safety concerns. • Assist in investigating workplace incidents and documenting findings. • Help track safety metrics and support reporting efforts. • Assist with internal safety audits of personnel, equipment, and facilities to identify potential hazards. • Research safety equipment and PPE options to enhance workplace safety. • Provide hands-on support for safety-related projects (e.g., organizing materials, posting signage, waste coordination). • Travel locally between facilities as needed. • Maintain a visible and proactive presence on the manufacturing floor. • Other duties and projects assigned. Education and Requirements: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field. Previous internship or coursework in safety is a plus. Basic understanding of OSHA standards is preferred. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
