In certain jurisdictions, CBIZ CPAs operates under its previous name, Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field preferred2 years of experience in public accounting or related fieldCPA candidates preferredAbility to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessaryDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externallyProficient use of applicable technologyMust be able to travel based on client and business needsEssential Functions and Primary DutiesTax ComplianceAssist in the preparation and review of complex individual and family tax returns for high-net-worth clients.Ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary information for tax filings.Tax Planning SupportContribute to the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals and families.Assist in researching and analyzing tax issues to provide recommendations for clients.Stay updated on changes in tax laws and communicate their impact to the team and clients.Client InteractionBuild and maintain positive relationships with high-net-worth clients.Respond to client inquiries as well as to notices from various tax authorities and provide support on related matters.Assist in client meetings and presentations as needed.Research and AnalysisConduct tax research to stay informed about new regulations and industry developments.Analyze financial data and documents to identify tax planning opportunities and potential issues.Present findings to senior team members and clients.Collaboration and TeamworkWork closely with other tax professionals and departments to ensure seamless service delivery.Provide support to tax managers and directors as needed.Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.Preferred Qualifications3+ years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably with exposure to high-net-worth clients.Previous experience in public accounting or a similar tax-related role is beneficial.Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.Posting Date: 2026-09-02
