Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner

SUMMARY:

Provides advanced clinical care under the supervision of a physician, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patient conditions. Collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while exercising independent clinical judgment within the scope of licensure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Responsibilities

1. Provide follow up care for patients with general endocrine disorders
2. Provides advanced patient care, including comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
3. Conducts initial, ongoing, and follow-up patient evaluations and documents findings accurately.
4. Develops and implements individualized plans of care in collaboration with physicians and the care team.
5. Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests and procedures.
6. Prescribes medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and clinical protocols.
7. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice.
8. Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
9. Monitors patient progress and modifies treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
10. Provides patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care.
11. Ensures accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record.
12. Maintains compliance with Clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, and applicable state and federal laws.
13. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and supports clinical best practices.
14. Performs all other duties as assigned.
