Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team for a hydraulic dredging project based on the Yorktown base. This role involves performing excavation tasks with the material dredged from water.

• Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for excavation tasks.
• Perform hydraulic dredging activities efficiently and safely.
• Ensure all operations comply with safety and environmental regulations.

• Proficiency in operating excavators and other heavy equipment.
• Construction and civil engineering knowledge.
• Possession of a HAZWOPER certification with 40 hours of training.

• Experience in excavation projects is preferred.
• DBIDS clearance or a clean background check is required.

Work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 6am to 4pm, comprising 10-hour days. The job requires working in all weather conditions, rain or shine.

This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Virginia Beach,VA.
