Physical Therapy Assistant - PTA PRN

We're looking for a healthcare professional who is passionate about helping patients as our next physical therapist. You will work with people who have mobility issues after surgery or an injury, and help them develop a treatment plan. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating personalized health and fitness plans for patients while also providing them with physical therapy to alleviate pain and improve mobility. Our ideal candidate will have experience with a wide range of patient issues and will also be up-to-date on the most recent developments in treatment. To qualify for this position, you must have a doctorate in physical therapy and be licensed to practice in the state in which you seek employment. If you think this is a fantastic opportunity, submit your application soon!Compensation:$30 - $40 hourlyResponsibilities:Ensure that patient care records are correct, and adhere to all regulations and guidelinesEvaluate and interpret findings from the patient's tests results and assessmentsCollaborate with others in the medical field and seek their opinionsConsult with patients to learn about their physical condition including mobility issues or injuriesDesign therapeutic strategies that integrate many approaches and techniques to meet individual patient needsProvide physical therapy services to patients in their homes under the supervision of the Physical TherapistImplement treatment plans established by the supervising PTAssist patients with exercises to improve strength, mobility, balance, and enduranceMonitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising PTDocument patient visits and treatment notes accurately and in a timely mannerEducate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and fall preventionMaintain compliance with home health regulations and agency policiesQualifications:We require a bachelor’s degree and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)Previous experience working with patients in a healthcare environment is highly desiredThis position requires passage of the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)Must have exceptional analytical skills, communication skills, and observational skillsMust have a current state license to practice in the state you reside inCurrent Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of MichiganHome health experience preferred but not requiredStrong clinical and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage a flexible scheduleReliable transportation and a valid driver’s licenseCurrent CPR certificationAbout CompanyAt Home Care Wellness, we know that quality patient care starts with supporting our team.
