Role Summary <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>
The Lead Software Engineer will join a team responsible for missionâcritical applications that deliver realâtime warnings, alerts, and related information to constituents. This handsâon role blends feature development, production support, and technical leadership to deliver enhancements, improve reliability, and reduce single points of failure across the application environment. <\/span>

Key Responsibilities <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Analyze business and technical requirements <\/span><\/span><\/b> and translate them into implementable solutions. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Participate in Sprint planning and backlog grooming <\/span><\/span><\/b> to refine scope and acceptance criteria. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Design and propose technical approaches <\/span><\/span><\/b> that meet functional and nonâfunctional requirements. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Develop, test, and deploy code <\/span><\/span><\/b> in collaboration with the implementation team and QA. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Support CI\/CD pipelines <\/span><\/span><\/b> and contribute to automated testing and release processes. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Identify and resolve defects <\/span><\/span><\/b> discovered during testing and in production. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Deploy to Production <\/span><\/span><\/b> and provide postâdeployment support and troubleshooting. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Respond to Service Tickets <\/span><\/span><\/b> and support requests in a timely manner. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Drive reliability improvements <\/span><\/span><\/b> to reduce single points of failure and increase system availability. <\/span>

Requirements <\/h3>

Required Qualifications
<\/span>

<\/div>

CJIS clearance <\/b> or ability to obtain CJIS clearance prior to start. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

5+ years <\/b> professional experience in application development and production support. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Strong experience with backend development <\/b> and relational databases (examples: Java or .NET; SQL). <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Experience with web services \/ APIs <\/b> , integrations, and distributed systems. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Familiarity with CI\/CD <\/b> , automated testing, and deployment processes. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Proven experience working in Agile\/Scrum <\/b> teams and delivering sprint commitments. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Strong debugging and incidentâresponse skills; experience resolving production incidents. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with business, QA, and operations teams. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Preferred Qualifications <\/span>

Experience with public safety, emergency notification, geospatial, or similar realâtime systems <\/b> . <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, or infrastructure as code. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and incident management tools. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Follow the established Sprint process and complete committed User Stories within sprint timelines. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Deploy code to Production on scheduled release cadence. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Provide accurate time estimates and maintain timely reporting. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Resolve assigned Service Tickets and defects within agreed SLAs. <\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>

Contribute to reducing single points of failure and improving system reliability. <\/span>
<\/span><\/li>
