About the Role Our client is hiring a diligent Field Telecom Installer to perform installations and maintenance of telecommunication systems for residential and business customers in the Welkom area. This role is critical for ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for the physical installation of equipment, wiring, and connections, ensuring all work meets industry standards and company specifications in the Free State province. A keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic are essential. Key Responsibilities Install and connect telecommunications equipment, including modems, routers, and set-top boxes. Run and terminate copper and fiber optic cables according to technical specifications. Test installed equipment and systems to ensure proper functionality and signal quality. Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues on-site. Educate customers on the use of installed equipment and services. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly handled. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in telecommunications installation or a related trade. Familiarity with low-voltage wiring and cable installation techniques. Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule effectively. Proficiency in using hand and power tools common in the installation trade. Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
