Resident Assistant

$15.26 per hour starting wage (includes direct care worker supplement). Medical, dental and vision insurance. Life insurance and short-term disability insurance. Paid vacation, paid holidays and paid sick time. Duties and responsibilities: Handling and serving residents in their dining experience in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort. Adhering to instructions and care plans. Performing duties in accordance with established methods and techniques and in conformance with recognized standards. Make beds Measure and record side rails as required for the state of Michigan 7 zones of entrapment. Pass fresh water. Recognize and report resident changes in condition as it relates to the dining experience. Other duties as directed that does not require certification or specialized training beyond their scope. Job Specifications Pass and collect trays, feed residents, pass nourishments. Report falls or occurrences outside of normal routine resident routine to supervisor. Report defective equipment to supervisor and maintenance. Transport wheelchair residents to activities or therapies, per care plan. Attend mandatory meetings and at least twelve (12) in-service annually; read monthly newsletter. Documents according to guidelines. Follow rules as outlined in Resident’s Rights and Corporate Compliance. Follow Infection Control policies and procedures. Assist with CPR emergencies. Other support duties as directed by the Administrator, Director of Nursing or supervisor. Follow established policy and procedures of the ICMCF, including following dress code, etc. Education and Training: Successful completion of an eight-hour State-approved Dining Assistant curriculum. No flags against applicant’s name upon background check. Must be a minimum of 16 years old.
