About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required License: Active RN License (temporary license not accepted) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience - Required certifications as listed Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The unit is comprised of 23 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. All nursing staff is composed of Registered Nurses. Technicians are located in the lobby and a secretary is available. Standard Emergency Department procedures are performed in this unit. The facility is designated as a Level IV trauma center and a primary stroke center. It is accredited for chest pain with PCI and STEMI services available 24/7. Documentation is conducted using a standard system. Nurses are required to adhere to a specific dress code. Scrub color for Registered Nurses is royal blue. Nail policy stipulates clean and healthy nails; artificial nails and gel nails are not permitted. Hair must be neat, clean, and styled conservatively. Beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be kept clean and trimmed. Tattoos and body art should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings, other than earrings, are prohibited. Shoes must be constructed of non-absorbent materials with slip-resistant soles. This role may require floating to other areas as needed. Attendance policies are strictly followed.
