Mechanic

Job Description Utilize preventative maintenance schedule from Maintenance Management program to schedule and perform machinery lubrication and repairs. Checks production machinery daily for visual, audible and other signs of malfunction or failure. Immediately corrects minor problems without interrupting production as needed. Assists production personnel with mechanical problems. Performs corrective and preventative maintenance on gear drives, vacuum pumps, clutch/brake assemblies etc., as required. Maintains building utility equipment such as air compressors, water chillers, and air conditioners at optimum efficiency. Submits requisitions for purchase orders for repair parts and materials required in his/her area of responsibility. Maintains adequate supply of repair parts to service machinery and prevent prolonged machine down time. Compensation The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $24.10/hr; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience between $24 and $30/hr.
