Procurement Buyer

The Procurement Buyer is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiating supplier agreements, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services. This role requires a highly skilled procurement professional with strong SAP experience, expertise in supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and operational purchasing activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in mining, fleet operations, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industries. This role will be ONSITE in Deerfield Beach, FL.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Purchasing:

• Create, manage, and track Purchase Orders (POs) & Framework Agreements in SAP.
• Manage procurement data, pricing, supplier records, and purchasing documentation within SAP.
• Negotiate, implement, and maintain commercial contracts.
• Ensure procurement activities align with company policies, budgets, and operational requirements.
• Monitor order status and resolve supply issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Strategic Sourcing:

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities and supply chain improvements.
• Conduct market analysis, supplier evaluations, and total cost of ownership assessments.
• Develop sourcing strategies for direct and indirect materials, services, equipment, and fleet-related requirements.
• Support category management initiatives and long-term procurement strategies.

Supplier Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and manage supplier scorecards.
• Drive supplier development initiatives to improve quality, delivery, service, and cost.
• Resolve supplier issues and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
• Lead RFQ / RFP processes from development through award recommendation.
• Evaluate commercial proposals and coordinate cross-functional supplier selection.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, finance, and supply chain teams to forecast demand and procurement requirements.
• Analyze consumption trends and develop procurement plans to support business.
• Identify supply risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage sourcing and procurement activities related to fleet operations, including vehicles, equipment, parts, maintenance services, and vendor agreements.
• Support fleet lifecycle management initiatives and cost optimization programs.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of procurement, sourcing, or purchasing experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Advanced SAP experience, including:
• Purchase Order creation and management
• Framework Agreements
• Vendor management
• Procurement reporting and analytics

Preferred Industry experience within:

• Mining, Fleet Management, Manufacturing, Heavy Industrial Operations, Construction Materials or Aggregates.
• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, CIPS, or APICS.
• Experience sourcing MRO, capital equipment, fleet services.

Travel: Up to 10-20% as required for supplier visits, audits, and sourcing activities.
