System/Software Technician-I
Job Title: System/Software Technician-I
Location: Oakland, CA - 333 Filbert St, Oakland, CA 94607
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Shift: Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
Potential rotation between shifts based on operational and business needs, with two weeks' notice provided when a shift change is required.
Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required
Comfort with riding an electric bike.

This department is an independent team within the orgabnization focused on exploring robotics and automation to transform last-mile logistics over the long term. The team applies robotics solutions to services used by millions of people.
About the Role
Our client is seeking a strong operator to support the bring-up, calibration, testing, and logging of new advanced technologies . This role involves working both indoors and outdoors at a closed-course test track in Oakland.
You will report to the Team Lead and serve as a core member of the End of Line Team .
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with hardware, product, software, and other stakeholders to improve the product.
- Execute and document tests to verify autonomous technologies , including understanding product behavior, capabilities, existing issues, new issues, and added requirements.
- Follow rigorous processes, testing programs, and checklists to maintain high levels of safety, efficiency, and reliability.
- Regularly communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to assess robot behavior and triage issues.
- Support the bring-up, calibration, testing, and logging of new technologies.
- Work effectively in both indoor and outdoor test environments.
- Follow detailed test plans and maintain accurate testing documentation.
- Collect feedback, track issues, and coordinate progress toward fixes.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience or strong interest in robotics, autonomous technologies, automotive systems, or related fields.
- Familiarity with automotive and/or computer systems .
- Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, and communication skills .
- Comfortable working outdoors.
- Experience and enthusiasm with live Field Operations for product deployment; experience related to autonomous vehicles is a plus.
- Strong organizational and process-management skills.
- Comfortable following detailed test plans, testing procedures, and checklists .
- Familiarity with ticketing tools for collecting feedback, scheduling fixes, and tracking issue resolution.
- Comfortable riding an electric bike .
