We are seeking a  Front of House Team Leader who leads by example, moves with purpose, develops others, and takes ownership of shift performance.

Position Overview

The Front of House Team Leader leads daily Front of House operations and helps create an outstanding experience for both guests and Team Members.

Working alongside the team, you will organize shifts, communicate priorities, coach performance, and solve problems. You will help ensure that hospitality, speed, accuracy, cleanliness, and food safety remain consistent throughout the day.

This is a hands-on leadership position that requires confidence, sound judgment, and a willingness to serve wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Leadership and Operations

• Lead assigned Front of House areas, including the front counter, drive-thru, dining room, and order fulfillment.
• Communicate clear shift priorities, assignments, and expectations.
• Position Team Members according to business needs, strengths, and development opportunities.
• Monitor service speed, order accuracy, and quality, making timely adjustments to support performance.
• Maintain awareness of the floor, anticipate needs, and coordinate the team during peak periods.
• Monitor labor and coordinate staffing adjustments with restaurant leadership.
• Organize breaks and shift transitions while maintaining appropriate coverage.
• Work closely with Back of House leadership to communicate order needs, delays, and service concerns.
• Complete assigned opening, closing, and shift checklists.
• Ensure work areas remain stocked, clean, organized, and ready for service.

Guest Experience and Hospitality

• Model genuine hospitality through a welcoming attitude, attentive service, and respectful communication.
• Coach Team Members to deliver fast, accurate service while making guests feel cared for.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, following restaurant procedures.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming dining room and guest-facing environment.
• Identify recurring service issues and communicate opportunities for improvement.

Team Accountability and Development

• Set the example for professionalism, dependability, teamwork, and urgency.
• Provide timely, specific coaching and reinforce expectations consistently.
• Identify skill gaps, support retraining, and follow up on progress.
• Recognize strong performance and celebrate team accomplishments.
• Help new Team Members build confidence and proficiency.
• Support the development of future trainers and leaders.
• Create a positive, respectful shift environment through encouragement, clear direction, and accountability.
• Address performance concerns within your authority and involve restaurant leadership when additional support is needed.

Safety, Systems, and Communication

• Follow and reinforce food safety, sanitation, security, and cash-handling procedures.
• Complete assigned cash-control responsibilities and report discrepancies promptly.
• Identify and communicate equipment, supply, staffing, and safety concerns.
• Complete required shift records and provide clear leadership handoffs.
• Communicate unresolved guest concerns, team needs, and follow-up items to the appropriate leader.
• Uphold restaurant policies and Chick-fil-A brand standards consistently.

When performance falls below expectations, you are expected to identify the issue, take appropriate action, and follow through with support from restaurant leadership.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of restaurant, hospitality, or relevant customer service experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or shift leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to give clear direction and remain composed in a busy environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence in providing respectful feedback and having accountability conversations.
• Demonstrated reliability, sound judgment, and follow-through.
• A coachable attitude and commitment to continued growth.
• A genuine interest in serving guests and developing people.

Position Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Availability that meets the agreed-upon scheduling needs of the position, including [opening shifts, closing shifts, Saturdays, and holidays when the restaurant is open].
• Willingness to learn and work in all Front of House positions.
• Completion of required operational and leadership training.
• Ability to perform essential job duties, with or without reasonable accommodation. Duties include standing and walking for extended periods, frequent movement throughout the restaurant, and lifting or carrying restaurant supplies.
