Shipping & Receiving Clerk II

Shipping/Receiving ClerkWe are looking for a responsible Shipping/Receiving Clerk to receive, inspect and record shipments with raw material or products. You will be responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match the orders.The clerk must have a great eye for detail and basic math skills. They must also have adequate physical strength to unload shipping's as well as the clerical skills to update records and follow up with suppliers.The goal is to ensure we receive the correct packages and stock them appropriately.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveriesReceive shipments and sign paperwork upon receiptUnload packages from incoming trucksInspect contents to ensure they are undamagedVerify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)Contact Purchasing/Quality if a mistake is identifiedLabel deliveries and allocate them to their designated placeMaintain accurate records and assist in inventory controlQualificationsProven experience as receiving clerk or similar positionExperience in operating forkliftsWorking knowledge of computer programs for entering dataSolid understanding of health and safety regulationsBasic math and recording abilitiesExcellent organizational skillsGreat communication and interpersonal abilitiesKeen eye for detailGood physical conditionHigh school diplomaWork EnvironmentThis job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely utilizes the operation of material handling equipment and various tools and machinery.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
