Material Handler / Packer
This role focuses on accurately building and packing orders for shipment in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. You will prepare packaging using established methods, operate basic computer and scanning systems, and ensure all outbound shipments meet quality and safety standards. The position also involves maintaining a clean, organized work area and supporting material handling activities such as picking, inventory, and shipping and receiving.
Responsibilities
- Build packaging for shipment using assigned methods, boxes, pallets, and other approved materials.
- Accurately pack products according to customer orders and documented requirements.
- Verify that all packages meet warehouse standards, including no visible damage, securely closed boxes, and properly affixed address labels that are clearly visible and unobstructed.
- Operate computers and scanners to process orders using the customer database and related systems.
- Place packaged orders in the correct designated area for outbound shipment processing.
- Support material handling activities such as picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks as needed.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the designated work area to support safety and efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures at all times while performing job duties.
Essential Skills
- 02 years of material handling experience.
- Experience with material handling, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
- Understanding of material replenishment systems.
- Basic understanding of computers and data entry.
- Ability to operate scanners and work within a customer database.
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English to follow safety information, supervisory directions, and written instructions.
- Ability to perform repetitive use of upper extremities and handle physical aspects of the role, including lifting and moving materials as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a lean, continuous improvement manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with Excel is helpful.
- Familiarity with Oracle or similar enterprise systems is helpful.
- Experience using an electric pallet jack is helpful.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing environment that includes warehouse and production areas. The role may require occasional heavy lifting over 50 lbs, frequent movement of objects up to 40 lbs, and regular lifting under 20 lbs. You will frequently use your upper extremities for repetitive tasks such as packing, scanning, and handling materials. Safety glasses may be required in designated areas, and adherence to all safety procedures is expected. The position requires the ability to read, speak, and understand English to follow safety instructions and supervisory guidance. You should be able to work a minimum of approximately 10% overtime per week, which may be around 8 additional hours depending on business needs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
