We are currently seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join a Critical Access Hospital team. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing experience and be comfortable caring for patients of all ages with a wide range of medical and emergency conditions.

Position Overview

Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) Setting: Critical Access Hospital Emergency Department Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of recent ED nursing experience Patient Population: All ages EMR: EPIC

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency department patients of all ages.
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on the severity of their condition.
• Manage patients presenting with a wide variety of medical, surgical, traumatic, and emergent conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in clinical status.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC.
• Provide patient and family education and support during emergency care.
• Assist with emergency procedures and maintain a safe, efficient clinical environment.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and emergency nursing protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
• Must have experience treating patients of all ages.
• Must have experience managing all types of emergency/acute conditions.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and emergency-response skills.

Required Certifications

• BLS Basic Life Support
• ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• TNCC Trauma Nursing Core Course

EMR Requirement

• EPIC experience required.
