Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nurse position is located in a healthcare facility in Alton, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized critical care to adult and geriatric patients with complex medical and surgical conditions. The position requires managing a high-acuity patient population in a fast-paced environment, focusing on advanced life support and patient stabilization.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/03/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS and BLS; valid Illinois license in hand at time of submittal; 2 years minimum experience in ICU or equivalent; experience with ventilator management, arterial line care, central line insertion, and critical care procedures; proficient in charting systems (Cerner preferred)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro and cardiac ICU protocols, advanced vascular access, and management of complex hemodynamic cases
• Float: Float rotation may be required to medical, surgical, or intermediate care units
• Additional Information: This unit handles complex acute cases including stroke management, drug overdose, sepsis, shock, and post-cardiac arrest protocols. Critical skills include ventilator management, invasive line care, procedural sedation, and hemodynamic support. Travelers must be compliant with all hospital policies and certifications required by the institution.
