The Meat Cutter plays a vital role within the butcher team, responsible for preparing and packaging various meat products while maintaining high standards of quality and sanitation. Reporting to the Meat Department Manager, this position requires proficiency in proper cutting techniques, equipment operation, and customer service to ensure a safe and efficient meat processing environment.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and prepare meat products following established guidelines
• Make sausage/brats
• Grinding daily
• Package meat items accurately and attractively for sale
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work surfaces and equipment
• Perform quality control to ensure product meets safety and quality standards
• Conduct regular maintenance and safe operation of knives and cutting machines
• Provide excellent customer service within the meat department
• Ability to take constructive criticism to refine your skills to our high standard practices

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in meat cutting
• Knowledge of meat cutting techniques and food safety standards
• Strong knife skills and physical stamina
• High attention to detail and adherence to sanitation practices
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage time efficiently
