Job Description:
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the surgical technologist assists in the delivery of patient care as a member of the surgical team and assumes appropriate responsibility for delivery of that care before, during, and after surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Participates and implements age-specific care and interaction.
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical errors.
- Provides a sterile atmosphere before and during all surgical procedures.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment before, during, and after all procedures.
