Radiology Technologist

PRN Rad Tech Florida Orthopaedic Institute Surgery Center-Citrus Park is searching for a Per Diem Radiology Technician to join our team!! This position is an opportunity for a dynamic Radiology Technologist to join a top-notch, surgically-focused center that performs thousands of procedures a year. This Radiology Technologist shall demonstrate first class customer service. Responsibilities Perform the described duties in the primary work area and demonstrate competency in: IV and contrast administration, orthopedic radiology, pediatric radiology, operating room radiology, trauma radiology, GI radiology, outpatient and inpatient diagnostic radiology, myelography and arthrography. Operate X‑ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body parts as specified by the physician; adjust equipment for proper exposure, voltage and current in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures. Prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments and equipment; explain X‑ray procedures to patients; position patients for each anatomical view using immobilization and protective devices as required; report any changes in patient condition to attending medical staff. Monitor accessory equipment and assist attending physician with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies. Record amount and type of film exposed; label film with identifying information; sort as required. Consult with lead X‑ray technician and radiologist to ensure compliance with established quality standards. Process film according to standardized procedures and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Required Skills and Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program. Minimum 2 years of previous management experience preferred. ARRT registered and CPR current. Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations. Independent decision‑making skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects. Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families. Professional verbal and non‑verbal communication. Required Experience Demonstrated experience in radiology techniques and safety procedures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
