Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) - 13-week contract in Harrison Township, NJ (08062). Seeking perioperative/surgical RNs with 3+ years OR experience, EPIC proficiency, and BLS/ACLS certification.


Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,520 - $2,650
• Location: Harrison Township, New Jersey (08062) - Southern New Jersey, convenient to urban amenities
• Position Type: Contract Operating Room Registered Nurse / Perioperative Nurse (OR RN)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shifts: Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Weekend/On Call: One weekend on call per month (36 hours: 24 hours Saturday, 12 hours Sunday)
• Scrubs: Provided by hospital
• Start Date: June 22, 2026

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) with demonstrated ability to scrub and circulate
• 3+ years of clinical expertise in Orthopedic Spine, Robotics-assisted surgery, and Trauma cases - experience as an orthopedic spine nurse or trauma OR nurse preferred
• EPIC electronic health record experience required
• Current RN licensure in the State of New Jersey
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• American Heart Association ACLS certification required
• National certification in perioperative nursing or specialty area (CNOR or equivalent) preferred

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate in a variety of surgical procedures, including orthopedic spine, robotics-assisted cases, and trauma surgeries
• Deliver high-quality perioperative patient care in the operating room as a surgical nurse
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal surgical outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using EPIC electronic health record
• Participate in scheduled weekend on-call rotation and support emergent cases as needed
• Complete all required orientation modules, competency validation, and in-person training sessions
