Job Title: Strategic DevSecOps Consultant Job Type: Full Time Location: Remote - United States About CloudBees CloudBees enables enterprises to deliver scalable, compliant, and secure software, empowering developers to do their best work. Seamlessly integrating into any hybrid and heterogeneous environment, CloudBees is more than a tool - it's a strategic partner in your cloud transformation journey, ensuring security, compliance, and operational efficiency while enhancing the developer experience across your entire software development lifecycle. It allows developers to bring and execute their code anywhere, providing greater flexibility and freedom through fast, self-serve, and secure workflows. CloudBees supports organizations at every step of their DevSecOps journey, whether using Jenkins on-premise or transitioning software delivery to the cloud. We’re helping customers build the future, today. About the Role At CloudBees, our Consultants are strategic partners in helping organizations transform how software is built, secured, and delivered. As a member of the Services team, you will work at the intersection of DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, AI, and software delivery innovation, helping customers accelerate outcomes and unlock new levels of engineering productivity. You will collaborate with some of the world's largest and most innovative enterprises—including Fortune 100 companies and government organizations across industries such as financial services, healthcare, and technology. Together, you'll tackle complex challenges and shape the future of software delivery in increasingly AI-driven environments. This role combines strategic advisory, technical leadership, and hands-on innovation. One day, you may be leading executive discussions on platform strategy, AI adoption, or engineering transformation. Next, you may be working directly with engineering teams to design intelligent delivery platforms, automate workflows, and implement scalable DevSecOps solutions. While the role is primarily focused on strategy, architecture, and transformation, there will also be opportunities to work hands-on alongside customers—troubleshooting complex technical challenges, accelerating issue resolution, and building practical solutions that deliver immediate value. Whether remote or onsite, you will serve as a trusted advisor who helps customers navigate both technology and organizational change. As software delivery evolves beyond traditional automation, you will help customers embrace emerging paradigms including AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, platform engineering, and intelligent automation. You will guide organizations in building modern software factories that combine human expertise with AI-powered capabilities, enabling faster innovation, stronger security, and greater operational efficiency. Success in this role requires curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for continuous learning. You stay ahead of industry trends, experiment with new technologies, and bring a forward-looking perspective to every engagement. Most importantly, you are energized by helping customers define and execute a vision for the future of software delivery—turning emerging technologies and modern engineering practices into measurable business outcomes. What You'll Do Partner with Customers to Drive Transformation Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them define and execute their software delivery, platform engineering, and AI adoption strategies. Collaborate with engineering leaders, platform teams, and executives to align technology initiatives with business outcomes. Assess current software delivery capabilities and develop transformation roadmaps that improve developer productivity, security, governance, and operational efficiency. Design and recommend modern DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, and AI-enabled delivery architectures that accelerate innovation at scale. Lead discovery workshops, architecture reviews, and strategic advisory engagements with customer stakeholders. Build proofs of concept, reference architectures, and pilot programs that validate new approaches and demonstrate measurable value. Guide customers in adopting emerging practices such as AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, intelligent automation, and software delivery optimization. Influence customer adoption and success plans to maximize long-term value from CloudBees solutions and services. Serve as the voice of the customer within CloudBees, helping shape product strategy, roadmap priorities, and future platform capabilities. Communicate effectively with audiences ranging from hands-on engineers to executive leadership teams. Travel occasionally for customer workshops, strategic planning sessions, and company events. Collaborate Across the Ecosystem Partner closely with Sales, Solution Engineering, Product Management, Product Engineering, Customer Experience, and Services teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. Contribute technical and industry expertise during strategic customer engagements and complex transformation initiatives. Support customer escalations and critical initiatives by coordinating across teams to drive successful resolution and long-term improvements. Enable CloudBees partners through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and joint delivery engagements that expand their technical and consulting capabilities. Share field insights, emerging trends, and customer feedback to influence CloudBees products, services, and go-to-market strategies. Continuously Learn and Lead Develop deep expertise across CloudBees solutions, modern software delivery practices, cloud-native technologies, and AI-powered engineering workflows. Stay at the forefront of industry trends including DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, AI-assisted software development, agentic systems, and intelligent automation. Experiment with emerging technologies and translate innovation into practical customer value. Contribute thought leadership through internal enablement, customer-facing presentations, workshops, blogs, and industry events. Mentor colleagues and help cultivate a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and customer obsession. What You'll Bring Required: 5+ years of experience in consulting, solutions architecture, platform engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related customer-facing technical roles. Proven experience advising customers on DevSecOps, software delivery modernization, platform engineering, or cloud transformation initiatives. Strong understanding of modern software delivery practices, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, observability, security, and cloud-native architectures. Experience designing and implementing scalable DevSecOps and Platform Engineering solutions in enterprise environments.
