Travel RN – ICU (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Every other weekend expected | Projected Start: June 8, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed ICU with patient ratios of 2:1 to 3:1
• Perform and manage telemetry monitoring, BiPAP/CPAP management, therapeutic phlebotomy, and paracentesis (physician-led)
• Operate and document using Meditech Expanse; utilize Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, ventilators, and glucometers
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team including CNCs, RNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs
• May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or ED as needed per unit floating policy
• Maintain current NIH Stroke Scale certification (required annually) and adhere to all unit-specific policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a hospital setting
• Active RN license in good standing; Kentucky license or Compact license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification required (must be renewed annually)
• Proficiency with CPaP/BiPAP management and port access

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound VAC, and surgical drains
• Experience with central lines, blood transfusions, and ventilator management
• Post-dialysis assessment experience
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation system
