Registered Radiologic Technologist, Per Diem Day Shift, Outpatient Imaging

Outpatient Imaging - White Oak The position is for an experienced Registered Radiology Technician in White Oak, MD, who will extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. Responsibilities Performs diagnostic imaging studies per protocol, properly identifies patients, reviews orders, and selects diagnostic x‑ray protocol to maximize quality and safe patient care. Accurately performs documentation in all applicable diagnostic x‑ray and DEXA computer systems (HIS, RIS, PACS). Monitors and assists patients before, during, and after examinations, maintaining a clean and safe environment. Applies ALARA principles, including proper shielding of patients. Maintains patient, organizational, and employee confidentiality. Provides care appropriate to the age of patients served (pediatrics, geriatric, adolescent). Receives patients, explains procedures, and answers all patient questions and concerns. Maintains schedule with flexibility to accommodate variable volume. Assists in orienting new employees and training radiography students. Participates in PI projects and other duties as assigned. Supports Adventist HealthCare’s mission and RISES values. Stocks and manages supplies/linen for assigned area. Administers oral contrast materials when appropriate. Works collaboratively with other care team members to expedite examinations while maintaining excellent patient relations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography or associate degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred). 1 year of radiography experience preferred; new graduates welcome. ARRT R.T. (R) certification. State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license. Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. DEXA required; training will be provided. Strong customer service and critical thinking skills. Effective verbal and written skills. Ability to work independently in a busy, fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic PC skills, including RIS/PACS experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment. Work Schedule Employment Type: Per Diem Hours per Week: 16 hours Typical Daily Schedule: Monday–Friday as needed, including float to all outpatient locations as needed.
