Represented Position Starting Pay: $36.51 per hour Position Summary This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems throughout the facility. The Pipefitter will work across a variety of systems and materials to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facility infrastructure. This position is a 3rd shift role and is eligible for a 14% shift premium while assigned to 3rd shift. Essential Functions Install and maintain piping systems for air, oil, gas, paint, acids, solvents, and other materials, including pumps and collectors. Cut threads, bend, file, de-burr, ream, and install pipes, couplings, unions, elbows, flanges, valves, and related fittings. Work with a variety of piping materials such as cast iron, brass, stainless steel, and other metals, including valves, traps, and vessels. Utilize pipefitting tools such as taps, portable pipe threaders, gas torches, hacksaws, drills, benders, and more. Install and service plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, and showers. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Must be a journeyman pipe fitteror able to immediately qualify for a journeyman pipe fitter card. Must be able to read blueprints and be able to use in-process gauges. Must be able to work on roof, in tunnels and on high work platforms. Manlifts up to 40 FT above floor. Must be able to calibrate test cells: Fuel, Smoke Meters, and other test equipment. Must have mechanical skills Must have mathematical skills. Must be able to lift up to and including 50 lbs. and must be able to bend and lift. Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
