Established Internal Medicine & Geriatrics practice seeking a Medical Office Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Escort patients to the room, take vitals and other important information and input all information in the EMR.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as blood drawing, urine samples and help physician in normal procedures.
- Call patients , schedule appointments and take messages.
- Process referrals.
- Ensure that the doctor is ready with all required material and tools for house visits.
- Check eligibility and insurance coverage before the visit.
- Maintain cleanliness in the entire office.
- Perform normal administrative duties.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience of at least two years in performing these functions and duties in a doctor's office or healthcare facility
- Familiarity with EMR
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to learn new things.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
