About the Role:

A growing architecture, planning, and interior design firm is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join its Indianapolis team. This is an excellent opportunity for an architect who enjoys technical leadership, project coordination, and working in a collaborative, design-focused environment.

The Project Architect will serve as the technical lead for assigned projects and work closely with Project Managers, Project Designers, Interior Designers, Planners, engineers, consultants, and other project stakeholders to ensure projects meet design, technical, regulatory, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical lead for assigned projects under the direction of the Project Manager.
• Develop coordinated construction documents that accurately reflect design intent.
• Collaborate with Project Designers, Interior Designers, and Planners throughout project development.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and specialty vendors to develop integrated and constructible solutions.
• Lead code reviews and coordinate with code officials and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
• Coordinate quality reviews and maintain firm standards.
• Participate in owner and user meetings to ensure project requirements are properly incorporated.
• Coordinate drawing sets across disciplines throughout all project phases.
• Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs.
• Support Construction Administration activities including site visits and issue resolution.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Apply firm standards, best practices, and lessons learned to improve project quality and efficiency.
• Support project schedules by meeting internal deadlines for document production and coordination.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent from an accredited institution required.
• Master's degree in Architecture preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional architectural experience.
• Experience with mid- to large-scale healthcare projects required.
• Strong understanding of architectural building systems, constructability, and project coordination.
• Working knowledge of building codes and regulatory processes.
• Experience with healthcare design standards including FGI guidelines preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Architectural registration required.
• LEED AP certification preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time, including occasional overnight stays.
