DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the upkeep, repair, and safe operation of facility buildings, equipment, and grounds. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties: General Repairs: Perform maintenance tasks involving carpentry, painting, electrical work, masonry, and plumbing System Monitoring: Check building systems such as HVAC, alarms, generators, and automated controls Facility Upkeep: Maintain clean, safe, and functional interior and exterior areas Equipment Operation: Use and maintain tools and machinery needed for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and grounds work Contractor Coordination: Assist with vendor communication and monitor contracted repair work Safety Compliance: Follow safety rules and report hazards or incidents to supervisors Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch period. Work schedule my change based on operational needs. Travel may be required. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities. Special Requirements This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License. Additional Requirements You must be able to perform essential job functions.
