The Medical Assistant is a key member of the medical team and supports the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals living with HIV and at risk for HIV in our clinic setting. In this role, you will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary health care team, assisting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment. This role requires a compassionate and empathetic approach to support to a diverse patient population.

Essential Job Duties

• Greet and escort patients to examination rooms, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable
• Take and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and
• Assist patients in completing medical history forms and update electronic health records (EHR) with relevant information.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting healthcare providers as

Required and preferred knowledge and experiences to succeed.

• Education:
• High school diploma or
• Work Experience:
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a medical assistant in a clinical
• Licensure/Certification:
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required; Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) accepted in states where applicable.
• Basic lifesaving certificate (BLS).
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, maintaining professionalism and focus during busy and demanding situations.
• Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• HIV experience in a not-for-profit environment.

Pay Rate Starting at $24.00/hourly (Depending on Experience)

The final salary will be determined based on factors such as market data, internal equity, candidate experience and qualifications. Please note that it is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range.
