Responsibilities

Perform blood collection procedures from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established safety and quality standards.

Draw blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accurate labeling, verification of patient demographic information, and maintaining specimen integrity.

Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, explaining procedures to foster trust and confidence.

Maintain proper documentation and records of all collections and procedures conducted.

Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment at all times, adhering to policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with team members and healthcare staff.

Assist in multiple locations as needed, covering both in-office and patient service center environments.

Required Skills

Proficiency in phlebotomy, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Strong attention to detail for accurate specimen labeling and record keeping.

Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members.

Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.

Basic keyboard and data entry skills for maintaining accurate records.

Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

1-3 years of phlebotomy experience preferred, especially in pediatric, geriatric, and clinical environments.

Phlebotomy certification preferred; certification is required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record are necessary, if applicable.

Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, across multiple locations.

Availability for floating to different sites as needed.
