Sr Specialist Capital Mkts Ops

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide specialized operational guidance to team members and ensure effective booking, confirmation, settlement and reconciliation of SWAP/FX and related derivative products, including participation on collateral calls with inter-bank dealers. Oversee daily transactions, including FX/Swap reporting, trade feeds to internal and external systems, unmatched trades, handling wire transfers, deposits, control reporting and performing tasks that support the effective running of the business. Serve as team escalation point to solve complex issues/exceptions with regards to FX and related derivative transactions, including nostro management, projected client and bank balances. Partner with VFM Compliance, internal partners and external vendors on a broad range of projects across VFM and Capital Markets (FX) including regulatory matters (FINRA TRACE, internal/external audits), technology enhancements and upgrades, (both testing and delivery). Work closely with Department leaders to find solutions for complex business problems and risk event resolution across the dual business lines. Develop process Improvements and organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity. Required Skills: Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills. Strong client service skills with a high level of professional and personal integrity. Strong knowledge of Excel and other Data mining and Reporting tools. Knowledge of trading, settlement, and reconciliation processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve operational issues. Experience using operations systems and platforms. Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills. Strong problem resolution skills with the ability to draw the correct conclusions. Strong multi-tasking and time management skills with a keen sense of urgency and ability to prioritize multiple initiatives, track and coordinate follow-ups. Ability to partner and provide guidance to all levels of employees within the department and across the bank. Required Experience: High School diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of Securities operations experience in bank or financial institution.
