You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. This team is responsible for the system level design and deployment of the global fiber optic network that connects Google's data centers to the world. Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs. Responsibilities Manage end‑to‑end delivery of global network infrastructure programs, including long‑haul fiber, metro networks, and leased capacity, ensuring milestones are met from concept through deployment. Collaborate with cross‑functional partner teams to understand technical dependencies, resolve constraints, and align capacity forecasting with infrastructure deployment timelines. Identify, mitigate, and communicate project risks and technical trade‑offs clearly to both engineering teams and leadership stakeholders. Translate complex, ambiguous strategic initiatives into well‑defined technical requirements, actionable roadmaps, and clear execution plans. Drive process improvements and scalability enhancements within network deployment workflows to optimize efficiency and accelerate capacity delivery.
