The Garden City Hotel is a luxury property known for timeless elegance, modern amenities, renovated guest rooms and suites, and premier dining concepts led by Celebrity Chef David Burke. Located in the heart of Garden City just 15 miles from Manhattan, the hotel is committed to exceptional guest service and operational excellence. We are seeking an experienced Caf Attendant to join our team at Crave45 and help uphold the high hospitality standards that define our guest experience.

Must be able to work PM Shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers including answering phones and directing customer inquiries to appropriate party.
• Handle cash transactions between customer and retail store.
• Answer routine billing questions/issues from customers.
• Receive and process all payments according to standard procedures.
• Stock products.
• Ring up item using Micros POS.
• Clean & maintain store, displays, equipment.
• Processes credit and debit cards and room charges.
• Communicate orders with supervisor / manager.
• Count money back to customer in an accurate and concise manner.
• Assist in the opening and closing of a retail location which includes but is not limited to cash handling and deposits.
• Inform customers about services available and assess customer needs.
• Examine products being purchased for damages and price accuracy.
• Resolve escalated issues with customers.
• Train and sometimes supervise new cashiers or retail workers.
• Assist in the maintenance of store front and retail displays.
• Complete, process, and maintain applicable paperwork and records.
• Count the cash in the drawer at the end of the day ensuring cash equals receipts.

Qualifications

• Work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar role in sales
• Basic PC knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and Micros POS
• Good math skills
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented
• High School Diploma

Job Type: Full-time, Part-Time

Pay: $18.00 per hour.
