This rewarding opportunity allows nurses to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, person-centered care to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, administering medications, monitoring client health and safety, and supporting individualized treatment and stabilization plans while implementing evidence-based behavioral health practices. Key Responsibilities & Role Highlights: Provides direct nursing services to clients in accordance with established Agency and program policies, procedures, philosophy and clients’ needs. Assess data about each client's status and interprets the information needed to identify each individual's requirements in relations to his or her age-specific needs and provide care that is appropriate. As an RN - administers injections, prepares drug samples, gives medications, administers vaccines, calls meds to pharmacies, and provides other nursing services to clients as necessary. Provides and assists crisis team with de-escalation of patients experiencing crisis. Thoroughly and accurately documents all aspects of patient care provided. Education & Experience Requirements: Current RN license from the State of Ohio. Associate degree in nursing or completion of a practical nursing program from an accredited school required. Must obtain BLS, First Aid and CPI following hire. Must demonstrate knowledge of mental illness and the ability to establish therapeutic relationship with clients. Must be able to work with ill, disabled, emotionally upset and at times hostile individuals. Must be able to work weekend and holiday rotation. Unison Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
