This role is designed for leaders who are ready to grow into a General Manager position within the next 6 to 12 months . You'll work directly alongside the Owner and General Manager to gain hands-on experience in people leadership, financial management, restaurant operations, and business development while helping lead a high-volume, guest-focused restaurant.

Position Summary

The Assistant General Manager serves as the second-in-command and plays a critical role in the restaurant's daily success. You will help oversee operations, coach and develop managers and crew members, drive performance metrics, and ensure exceptional execution across all aspects of the business.

In this role, you'll gain exposure to all areas of restaurant management, preparing you for promotion into a General Manager position as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Assist in leading daily restaurant operations to achieve sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction goals.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain top talent.
• Coach and develop Shift Managers, Department Managers, and Crew Members.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture.
• Conduct performance coaching, recognition, and development planning.

Operations Excellence

• Lead high-performance shifts while maintaining company standards.
• Ensure exceptional food quality, food safety, cleanliness, and operational consistency.
• Monitor speed of service, order accuracy, and overall guest experience.
• Support execution of catering, delivery, mobile ordering, kiosk, and digital initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements.

Financial Performance

• Assist in managing restaurant P&L performance.
• Monitor labor deployment and scheduling to maximize productivity.
• Help control food cost, waste, inventory levels, and operating expenses.
• Analyze performance metrics and implement action plans to drive results.
• Support initiatives that increase sales and guest traffic.

Guest Experience

• Create a hospitality-first environment for guests and employees.
• Address guest concerns professionally and resolve issues quickly.
• Lead by example in delivering outstanding service and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume environment.
• Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Department Manager, Restaurant Manager, or equivalent leadership role preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development skills.
• Proven ability to deliver results while managing multiple priorities.
• Understanding of labor management, food cost controls, and restaurant financials.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation

• $75,000 base salary
• Excellent performance-based bonus program allowing you to make nearly 6 figures.
