Medical Transcriptionist

Job Title: Medical Transcriptionist Location: Memphis, VA Medical Center Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Flexible Position Summary: We're seeking a skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service at the Memphis VA Medical Center. In this role, you'll transcribe from oral dictation and voice recognition software, supporting accurate and timely documentation for the Veterans of the Memphis area and Mid-South. Position Offers: Competitive compensation Consistent full-time schedule with your choice of shift Generous paid time off and sick time Paid holidays Health benefit Key Responsibilities: Transcribe reports and documentation from oral dictation and voice recognition software Support the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service with accurate, timely transcription Review and edit transcribed reports for accuracy, grammar, and completeness Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and facility documentation standards Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory staff, and other medical personnel to ensure clear, accurate records Meet turnaround time expectations for report completion Qualifications: Appropriate experience working in a Pathology/Laboratory setting, or equivalent Medical Transcriptionist experience Ability to transcribe accurately from oral dictation and voice recognition software Strong attention to detail, grammar, and medical terminology skills Excellent listening, organizational, and communication skills One Stop Recruiting is an equal opportunity employer.
