Position Summary
Our Client, a national real estate company based in Dallas is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic team! The company offers a remote work schedule outside of onsite training and required onsite meetings. The Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for supporting payroll operations by processing payroll transactions, auditing payroll and timekeeping records, resolving payroll-related issues, and ensuring accurate and timely employee compensation. This role supports compliance with payroll regulations and provides reporting and reconciliation support.
Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll transactions accurately and on schedule.
• Review and audit payroll data, including timekeeping and attendance records.
• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and other payroll adjustments.
• Ensure payroll records comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Reconcile payroll data and validate payroll reports before final processing.
• Administer payroll-related deductions, garnishments, and benefit withholdings.
• Support time and attendance systems and troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Maintain payroll records and process employee payroll forms and updates.
• Generate payroll, compliance, and operational reports as needed.
• Research payroll variances and resolve employee and manager inquiries.
• Process off-cycle payroll payments when required.
• Assist with payroll account reconciliations and journal entry preparation.
• Review and update taxable earnings and fringe benefit information.
• Collaborate with Human Resources, Accounting, and operational teams to ensure payroll accuracy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Degree preferred
• 4+ years of experience processing high volume payroll in a multi-state environment for a headcount of 1200 employees or more.
• Experience with Dayforce is strongly preferred but will consider experience with larger payroll platforms and timekeeping systems.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, practices, and regulations.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with employees and management at all levels.
