About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Outpatient Clinic Hematology Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 3 years of Oncology experience required License: BLS, WI/Compact License (Pending Licenses Accepted) Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Oncology experience essential Description: Fast-paced Medical Hematology/Oncology Clinic. The Clinic nurse is responsible for triaging patient phone calls. Nurses will answer My Chart messages and enter physician orders, including labs, diagnostics. They will follow up on treatment plans and genetic testing. Nurses are responsible for arranging and coordinating diagnostics for patients. Patient education, particularly regarding chemotherapy, is a critical component of the role. The role requires close collaboration with the Infusion and Clienttion teams to coordinate patient care. Nurses will work directly with physicians to ensure quality patient care. They will support Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Tracking INR patients with labs and medications is necessary. Nurses will also follow up on Iron infusion patients.
