Position Summary

The Corporate Controller will be a key addition to the finance organization as Redaptive continues to grow. Redaptive is looking for a highly motivated, experienced Corporate Controller. The successful candidate will provide direction and support to our existing accounting team to ensure timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting across all US and foreign operations. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing responsibility. This is a critical position for a growing company, and an outstanding professional growth opportunity for a motivated individual interested in expanding their responsibilities as the company expands.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Ensure all month-end close processes including journal entries and reconciliations are completed timely and accurately across all US and foreign legal entities.
• Prepare monthly equity accounting and reporting.
• Review payroll on a bi-weekly basis jointly with the People organization for accuracy.
• Manage all SEC reporting aspects of the company including review of XBRL tags.
• Assist FP&A in the preparation of earnings releases and earnings call content.
• Prepare content for quarterly Audit Committee meetings.
• Manage the commercial insurance program for the Company to ensure that coverages are appropriate and adequate for the commercial risks.
• Develop with the insurance broker risk mitigation and reduction strategies.
• Serve as the liaison with our insurance brokers.
• Responsible for all financial, tax, workers’ compensation, and pension-related audits for all US and foreign entities.
• Provide necessary support and detail to auditors by keeping the general ledger activity documented, supported, and organized.
• Provide leadership with a commitment to mentoring and training this team.
• Reviews and approves all technical accounting memorandums for the application of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC reporting.
• Includes ASC 606 (revenue recognition) and ASC 842 (lease accounting) expertise.
• Responsible for all US and foreign tax filings, reporting, and compliance.
• Oversee treasury matters including managing all cash collections and distributions, optimizing bank relationships, and initiating appropriate investment strategies to enhance cash position.
• Provide final approval on all purchase orders for the company.
• Serve on the Fiduciary Committee of the Company’s 401(k) plan.
• Oversee the annual 401(k) audit.

Required Abilities and Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communications skills; experience in effectively communicating key data; ability to work with all levels of management and across various functions; strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
• Resourceful with a proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment.
• Ability to plan, initiate, monitor, and implement projects within a team.
• Ability to effectively manage a multi-location organization across US and foreign entities.
• Ability to identify and execute operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives to improve resource optimization.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with active license.
• A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience including progressive corporate accounting experience and supervisor experience.
• Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
• Technically strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Public company (SEC) reporting and SOX compliance experience, including review of XBRL tags.
• Experience with ASC 606 (revenue recognition) and ASC 842 (lease accounting).
• Experience managing US and foreign tax filings, reporting, and compliance.
• Experience overseeing treasury functions including cash management, bank relationships, and investment strategies.
• Experience managing commercial insurance programs and developing risk mitigation strategies with insurance brokers.
• Experience overseeing financial, tax, workers’ compensation, and pension related audits across US and foreign entities.
• Experience working with all legal entities across different legal umbrellas.
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Workiva, FloQast, Carta, MineralTree, Workday, iDeals, and Avalara is a plus.

Less than 10% travel time is expected for the position.
