R2 Landscape is looking for a highly organized, numbers-driven person to join our growing team. This is a key operations role that works closely with ownership to keep estimates accurate, project costs updated, and our jobs financially on track.

This is not a traditional bookkeeping position . While the role will assist with project financials and basic accounting processes, the primary focus is estimating, job costing, reporting, and helping improve how our company operates.

There is significant room for growth. As we build out our commercial landscaping and property maintenance divisions, the right person will have the opportunity to grow into helping manage and eventually lead those divisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing landscape and construction estimates
• Maintain accurate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
• Update active job costs daily or every other day
• Compare estimated costs against actual project performance
• Identify cost overruns, missing expenses, and margin concerns
• Track purchase orders, vendor bills, receipts, and project expenses
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Help prepare change orders and track unbilled work
• Maintain accurate project numbers and financial information
• Build weekly job-costing and profitability reports
• Work closely with ownership and project managers
• Help improve estimating, reporting, and operational systems
• Support the development of our commercial and maintenance divisions

• Enjoys working with numbers, spreadsheets, and systems
• Naturally follows through and keeps information updated
• Comfortable learning construction pricing and estimating
• Able to spot inconsistencies and ask good questions
• Communicates clearly and professionally
• Interested in growing into an operations or division-management role
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, growing company

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following is helpful but not required:

• Construction estimating
• Project coordination
• Construction management
• Job costing or project accounting
• Finance, accounting, or business analytics
• Landscape construction or property maintenance
• Excel, QuickBooks, Aspire, or similar business software

We are open to an early-career candidate with the right attitude, organization, and ability to learn. A background in construction management, finance, accounting, analytics, economics, or operations could be a strong fit.

This position is intended to grow with the company. Initially, the role will focus on estimating, job costing, project financials, and operational support. As R2 Landscape develops its commercial and maintenance divisions, this person could take on responsibilities involving:

• Division budgeting and financial performance

• Operational leadership
